Your Mindset Is Your Key to Getting Healthy

by

Have you tried changing your eating or lifestyle habits but always fall back into your old ways?  Your mindset plays a major role in determining your lifestyle choices. Fortunately, you can change your mindset, get healthy, and live the life you really want.

Your Mindset Keeps You Stuck

If you’re like most people, you’re always thinking about improving your eating habits but not making very much progress. Sometimes you even buy fresh vegetables for a new recipe. But suddenly you don’t feel motivated to cook, so the food spoils in the back of the fridge. You’re not alone; virtually everyone has done this, especially diabetics who suffer with extremely low energy and tiredness.

Maybe you also find it difficult to engage in physical activity. Have you paid for a gym membership but found it was too hard to get up and go there? Did you worry about not having time or the right clothes to feel comfortable?

These concerns are common. However, once you understand the reason for these mindset blocks, you can overcome them.

“What If This Doesn’t Work For Me?”

Whether you know it or not, your mind questions everything new. You are asking yourself, “What if this doesn’t work?” Your brain is trying to protect you, just in case what you are about to do is dangerous.

However, if you dwell on the possibility of failing, you won’t see how it’s possible to succeed. Naturally, you’ll choose to stay where you are. If you don’t do anything different, it’s impossible for you to get better.

You’re afraid you won’t succeed, so you don’t go for what you want. By not going for what you want, you definitely can’t have it.

Fear of failure is a self-fulfilling prophecy.

What If It Does Work?

Instead of focusing on failing, shift your mindset and dwell on what happens when you do succeed. If you want to confidently create a healthy lifestyle, ask “what if it does work?”

Imagine…
• Waking up feeling refreshed every day
• Loving the way your clothes fit
• Coming OFF those unnecessary medications
• Having more energy to do what you truly enjoy

Take Action

A positive mindset propels you into action. One step at a time, you’ll move toward your goals. You are empowered when you dwell only on the positive images of present situation and your future success. This inspires you to take the next right action and the next.

Your action is essential. You have to do more than just think positively, because then you’re only dreaming. You must think positively plus take action in order to succeed.
