Conquer Diabetes and Insulin Resistance

by

Insulin resistance is a condition where your muscle and liver cells stop responding to insulin. This leads to prediabetes and type 2 diabetes. Normally, insulin works like a key and unlocks your cells so they absorb blood glucose (sugar) as fuel for the human body.

Insulin resistance impairs the body’s ability to handle sugar so it accumulates in the blood.  The good part is that it’s possible to conquer insulin resistance naturally.

The Root Cause of Insulin Resistance

Type 2 diabetes is a global epidemic, increasing dramatically as countries adopt the Standard American Diet (SAD) and lifestyle. Popular, high-fat foods backfire on us by clogging up our cell membranes, making it difficult for the cells to respond to insulin.

Symptoms of insulin resistance:

  • Fatigue
  • Frequent urination
  • Thirst
  • Craving sugar

The Conventional Approach to Diabetes Fails

Insulin injections and diabetes medications will lower blood sugar, initially, but they don’t address the root cause of insulin resistance. As insulin resistance worsens, your blood sugar will continue to increase even with higher doses of medications.

To see breakthrough results, you must deal with the root cause, not merely mask the symptoms. This concept is how you likely solve problems in other areas of your life, so it makes sense for your health as well.

Women Do the Worst with Diabetes

Eleven years ago, I adopted a whole food plant-based diet and reversed my prediabetes, so that now my blood sugar is consistently normal without medication. Prediabetes was my wake up call because diabetes can be devastating, especially in women.

Women experiencing diabetes have a much greater risk of complications compared to men. [Ref 1]. I’ve witnessed this in my family. Thankfully a genetic predisposition for diabetes does not seal your fate. Our eating and lifestyle habits play a much greater role.

Overcome Insulin Resistance

Anti-inflammatory whole plant-based foods lower blood sugar naturally. You’ll deal with the root cause of insulin resistance and tap into your body’s ability to heal itself with healthy food and daily habits. [Ref 2].
Discovering this powerful change is a turning point for many people. It’s so effective it can restore your hope and dream for a long healthy life.
